Graphic Novel Workshop
Learn how to write and draw graphic novels with Artist Phil Yeh during a free Graphic Novel Workshop at the Grants Pass branch of Josephine Community Libraries on Saturday, September 28 from 9?11:30 a.m. The workshop is open to all ages. Phil Yeh has written and illustrated more than 90 books during his career and is one of the pioneers of the graphic novel having published his first comic book in 1977. But, Yeh?s true passion is reading education, and in 1985, he founded Cartoonists Across America in support of literacy at all levels. Yeh?s Graphic Novel Workshop is designed to help budding artists and writers create original ideas. As part of the workshop, participants will work as a group to create a comic strip with characters and a storyline. A free ?Winged Tiger? from Yeh?s ?Ideaship? series will be free to all attendees.
