Long Term Care Ombudsman Training
The Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman provides Certified Volunteer Ombudsman for Oregonians living in nursing, assisted and residential living, and adult foster home facilities. They serve as the voice of the resident, working to make the system is responsive to their needs and wishes.
The services provided are free and confidential for the resident, and we provide a no cost training for our volunteer Ombudsmen. A training session is scheduled to occur in Grants Pass on the following days: Febuary 5, 6, 7, 12, and 13, from 10:00AM to 3:30PM. Once trained, volunteers are asked to give 4-hours per week visiting the facility and helping to resolve issues.
