Readapalooza Page One Read-Off Auditions
Participants will be asked to read the first page of a book of their choice utilizing dramatic technique and style. A panel of judges will score readers on content, material selection, and theatrical performance. With only 21 spots to fill, space is limited and advanced registration is suggested.
Selected readers will participate in the Page One Read-Off on October 20th at the Grants Pass branch for the chance to win awards and prizes from local businesses including Oregon Books & Games.
For youth age 12–18, a Teen Read-Off is also featured on October 20th as part of Readapalooza. No auditions for the Teen Read-Off are required, but preregistration is encouraged. Prizes for the Teen Read-Off include an eReader and certificates to local businesses.
Readapalooza is a free festival of favorite books for all ages made possible in part by the Josephine County Cultural Coalition.
