Spotter Training (National Weather Service)
The National Weather Service invites weather watchers to a free severe weather spotter training program. The weather service uses reports collected from spotters across the region to determine the severity of both winter and summer storms. Meteorologists will explain the types of storms we receive in Southern Oregon, show you how to use a rain gauge, and how and what to report. There is no cost for this training and no RSVP is necessary.
