DESCRIPTION:Josephine County Public Health\, with the support of several partner organizations from throughout the community\, will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.\n\n\n\nJan. 24 and 25 at the Josephine County Fairgrounds in Grants Pass. \n\n	Register for the Josephine County Fairgrounds clinic here\n\n\n\nThe Oregon National Guard and Asante\, as well as other community partners\, are working together to provide at least 3\,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Josephine County.\n\n\n\nThe vaccine will be available to all individuals in Phase 1a\, as well as teachers and school staff members serving students pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. \n\n\n\nThose who have had immediate allergic reactions of any severity to food\, drug injections or insect stings should not attend these clinics and should contact their primary care provider.\n\n \n\nFacts About COVID-19 Vaccines\n\n\n	Josephine County Public Health is not creating a "wait list" for COVID-19 vaccinations\n	Vaccination is the best way to keep yourself\, your family and your community healthy\n	COVID-19 vaccines are 95% effective and have undergone rigorous safety testing\n	People who are most affected by the COVID-19 virus will have first access to the vaccination\n	\n		In Oregon\, that will be frontline health care workers who are exposed to the virus in their work and residents of long-term care facilities\n		Learn more about Oregon's distribution plan here\n	\n	\n\n Vaccination gives us hope that the pandemic will end\, but in the meantime\, we need to continue safety measures to keep the virus from spreading:\n\n\n	Wear a mask\n	Physically distance from others\n	Wash your hands\n	Avoid gatherings\n	Stay home when you're sick\n\n It will take time to distribute the vaccines. It will be months before a COVID-19 vaccine is available to everyone.
