DESCRIPTION:On July 4th\, 2016\, Ryan Merker and Max Belnap\, along with Max's father John\, died tragically in a plane crash off the coast of Brookings\, Oregon.\n\n\n\nRyan and Max were Seniors at Grants Pass High School. They loved life\, worked hard and were active in cross-country and track.\n\n\n\nTheir fun loving and adventurous ways are missed by all who knew and loved them.\n\n\n\nThe Grants Pass YMCA\, together with the families of Max and Ryan\, are establishing an annual 5k/5Mile run on July 4th\, 2017 in honor of these great young men.\n\n\n\nProceeds from the race will benefit the Ryan Merker and Maxel J. Belnap Scholarship Fund through JCEF (Josephine County Educational Fund - www.jocoeducationalfund.org).\n\n\n\nThese scholarships are awarded each year to graduating seniors at GPHS who demonstrate the same qualities that defined each young man.\n\n\n\nRegister Online:http://www.GrantsPassYMCA.org
