DESCRIPTION:The Josephine County OR Tax-Aide program is available free to taxpayers with low and moderate income\, with special attention to those 60 and older.  We are trained volunteers certified by the IRS to assist taxpayers in preparing Federal and Oregon tax returns.\n\n\n\nOur process is new. It significantly reduces in-person activity. Our main method will require you as the taxpayer to be interviewed over the phone. At that point we will work with you about dropping off your forms and information for scanning\, or whether you can do that yourself. Our goal is to keep you and our volunteers free from COVID-19.\n\nFebruary 8   We will begin phone intake interviews.\n\n \n\nFebruary 11   We will open Scan Sites for those who cannot provide scanned copies themselves. Will get appointment for scanning at the end of your intake interview.\n\n \n\nFebruary 12   IRS will begin processing returns. \n\n \n\nFirst Week of March   Those claiming Earned Income and/or Child Tax Credits will begin receiving their refunds if done by direct deposit.\n\n \n\nPlease use our website to make your Interview Appointment http://joco-freetaxes.com  OR call our direct number 541-223-9597 and leave a message for a return call from our appointment volunteers.
