The Illinois Valley is remarkably diverse. Per acre, it has one of the densest collections of different of climates, soils, rock types, endemics, relicts, and Ameridian languages. It is also rich with evidence of ancient climates, seafloors, shorelines, and peoples. Explore why so many diversities coincide in this area, what was here before the valley, and will our region travel to Alaska.
