AARP Neighbor Walk~Blue Zones
Get moving naturally at the Second Annual AARP Neighbor Walk at Riverside Park on Thursday, September 20th at 10:30am! Please join us for a walking tour of Riverside park and learn about its history, the trees, the river, and it’s future renovation plans. The Blue Zone Project will be launching walking Moai’s after the tour. Meet us at the outside tables at El Molcajete Restaurant at 201 East Park Street across from Riverside Park.
"Moai" is a Japanese word that means "meeting for a common reason." Join us to learn more about the Moai concept and be part of a Moai group.
Moai groups make a commitment with one another - usually five to seven people - to meet at least once per week for ten weeks. The Moai activities can vary but are intended to be wellness oriented. The ideal activities include walking and plant-based potlucks. In addition to healthy activities, Moai members have an opportunity to expand their social network and make new friends. We hope to see you there!
