Barnstormers Theatre Youth Summer Camp

We are thrilled to have playwright and Camp Director, Sam Dinkowitz, returning this year!

Also joining Sam is Music Director, Bruce Allen and  choreographer, Gwendolyn Duffy.

Rumor has it that some spooky stuff has been happening at Barnstormers Theatre. Is it a ghost? A monster? Or is someone pulling a prank? It’s like Goosebumps meets Are You Afraid of the Dark?, with a dash of Scooby Doo as the kids go on an adventure to solve the mystery…before it’s too late!

Campers will gain the experience of building, rehearsing, and performing in a brand-new original play which will help them to develop confidence and creativity. They will also be given the opportunity to write/develop their own original scenes and take part in filming multi-media aspects of the show. Through this process, the Campers will explore all the different elements of the production, including: Acting, Singing, Dancing, Stage-Combat, Mask Work, Make-Up, Costumes, Lighting, Props, and Set Design

Beyond all of the performance-based work, the campers will get plenty of summer camp experience: making new friends, scavenger hunts, theater games and games to help them develop real-life skills of empathy,  patience, and teamwork.
