Celebration of Life~Agnes Pilgrim
Agnes Baker Pilgrim was the oldest member of Oregon’s Takelma tribe and a Voice for the Voiceless advocating for environmental, animal and indigenous rights. She had made such an significant and lasting impact that Southern Oregon University awarded Pilgrim a presidential medal — its highest honor — for her extensive work to preserve and protect Native American culture and clean water around the world.
On Wednesday, November 28th, 2019, our precious ally and grandmother, suffered complications following surgery. With family at her side, she transitioned to her next journey. Her Celebration of Life will be located at the Josephine County Fairgrounds in the Pavilion Building from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on January 11th, 2020. This is a public gathering and all are welcome to her Celebration of Life. Bring Fruit and desserts to share
