What is a seed swap*?
A gathering of people, gardeners, and farmers to share seeds. The type of seed includes locally grown, bought in excess, seeds from a specific region, or seeds to donate. Seed can be placed on the community table or seed savers can sit next to their supply to share information and monitor what is taken. Mainly, people get together to share seeds, knowledge and discover a community of growers. Seed swaps offer the opportunity to cultivate a network of people interested in ongoing seed projects and to collectively develop and share seed that supports a more diverse and resilient local food supply.
