City Hosts Forum on Housing Needs; Rent Burdens
The City of Grants Pass Community Development Department will host a public forum 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 26th, to address the city’s housing needs and severe rent burden statistics.
The purpose of the forum will meet the city’s obligation under Oregon HB 4006 (2018) to hold an annual forum addressing the city’s rent burdened conditions, as well as present and solicit feedback on preliminary findings related to the city’s Housing Needs Analysis, Buildable Lands Inventory, and Middle Housing Code Update.
The forum will be held in City Council Chambers, 101 NW ‘A’ St and limited to the first 25 guests*Overflow room will be available. Those wishing to participate remotely will be able to do so through Microsoft Teams online.
The forum will be divided into two segments. The first 45 minutes will be allocated to addressing the city’s rent burden conditions. The second segment will cover the Housing Needs Analysis, Buildable Lands Inventory, and Middle Housing Code Update.
