A longtime southern Oregon writer and musician, Philip has fronted the R&B band Broadway Phil and the Shouters for 25 years, and led other blues outfits locally for over 30 years. His poems have appeared in the Mensa Society’s literary journal, Calliope, Visitant, Ink in Thirds, Ibis Head Review and other publications. Next year, the Jefferson Journal will carry his work.
His novel, Terrane, published in 2018, tells the story of terminally-ill Allen Wrangell who strives to reconnect with a long-lost love during his last days. It is a story of perspective, sanity, time lost and time spent. giving new light to the age old question. "what would you do, if you knew you hadn't long to live"
