Oregon Fringe Festival 2023
Each spring, the Oregon Center for the Arts at Southern Oregon University produces the Oregon Fringe Festival, a multi-day event celebrating outrageous creativity in the arts.
Our roster includes everything from music, to theatre, visual art, film, dance, and more. Featuring over 40 talented and diverse artists, this year's festival will include everything from over 25 live performances, to over 15 opportunities to interact and engage with creative work that is taking place online. There are also over 15 visual art exhibitions for viewers to experience.
On Wednesday, April 26, the Oregon Fringe Festival will kick off its 10th Anniversary with an interactive music performance by Bryan Jeffs. Featuring a large scale installation, viewers will have the opportunity to assist Bryan with creating a musical score for the installation. Later in the evening, Alex Brehmer, one of our Honorarium Recipients, will hold an Opening Reception for her creative work that consists of a giant sculptural rabbit head that utilizes group manifestation as a tool to inspire our community to envision a bright future, open dialogue around what we can change in the present, and build faith in our mutual hopes for good. Following this will be a stellar rock concert by MUSIX, a premiere pop music ensemble associated with Music Industry & Production at Southern Oregon University.
The Oregon Fringe Festival is free and open to the public. For more information about what is taking place during the rest of the festival, please visit http://www.oregonfringefestival.org. For questions, please email oregonfringe@sou.edu.
