Community members are invited to join Oregon Poet Laureate Anis Mojgani and Josephine Community Library for a virtual poetry reading and Q&A session on Saturday, February 20th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
Registration is required. To sign up and submit questions for the Oregon Poet Laureate, email info@josephinelibrary.org or call 541-476-0571. Registrants will receive the Zoom link to join the program via email.
Anis Mojgani is the current Poet Laureate of Oregon. The Oregon Poet Laureate fosters the art of poetry, encourages literacy and learning, addresses central issues relating to humanities and heritage, and reflects on public life in Oregon. A two-time individual champion of the National Poetry Slam and winner of the International World Cup Poetry Slam, Mojgani has also done commissions for the Getty Museum, HBO, NPR, and more.
