PaintCare: Drop Off Leftover Paint for or Pick Up Free Paint

Have paint you need to get rid of, or want to peruse free paint for your next project?

Come by this free and convenient one-day paint drop-off event. Households and businesses can safely and easily drop off unused paint for recycling. Households may bring any amount of paint, stain, and/or varnish.

PaintCare Will Accept: Unwanted house paint and primers (latex or oil-based); stains; deck and concrete sealers; and clear finishes (varnish and shellac). Paint must be in sealed, original containers with the original manufacturer label.

PaintCare CANNOT Accept: Leaking, unlabeled, or empty containers; aerosol coatings; drums or containers larger than five gallons; hazardous waste or other chemicals, such as paint thinner, solvents, motor oil, spackle, glue, adhesive, roofing tar, pesticides, or cleaning chemicals.

Paint in good condition will also be made immediately available to the public for free at this event.

To use PaintCare drop-off sites and events for oil-based paint, a business must qualify as an exempt generator under federal and any similar state hazardous waste generator rules.

Please visit http://www.paintcare.org/business-limits for more information on exempt generator rules. If your business does not qualify as an exempt generator, it will not be able to use drop-off sites and events for oil-based paint, but it can still use the program for latex products.
