SAFETY FAIR ~ Home Depot

Public invited to annual Public Safety Fair located at Home Depot in the parking lot on Saturday, October 12th from 10am to 2pm.

It is a public event that will include demo's, Extrication, Water purification, bike/bus safety, Sprinkler trailer Demo, Emergency evacuation plan, Dogs from search and rescue, all types of first responders vehicles, Reach Helicopter, Kids clinic, Homer (Home Depot Mascot) and Smokey the Bear.

American Medical Response:  Ambulance and Helicopter demonstration, information booth
American Red Cross:  Information booth
Caveman Kiwanis:  Booth with bicycle helmet and bus safety with working bus and traffic light
Grants Pass Water Department:  Emergency Water Trailer (need access to water and electricity)
Grants Pass Fire Rescue: Home sprinkler burn demonstration, Fire extinguisher training (equipment dependent), Home fire escape plan trailer, Sparky the fire dog/engine (staffing dependent)
Grants Pass Police:  SWAT/Patrol/K9 display, Bike Rodeo (place next to Caveman Kiwanis)
His Wings, Emergency air companion transport: Information booth (place next to JoCo Emergency Mgt.)
Home Depot: Hotdogs/drinks, kid’s project building area
JoCo Emergency Management: Information booth/Emergency preparedness bags (place next to His Wings and Southern Oregon Emergency Aid)
JoCo Sheriff/Search & Rescues: Information booth, Equipment display, K9 tracking/firearm find demonstration (demonstrations will take place in west grass field)
National Forest Service: Information booth, Type 6 display (staffing dependent), Smokey Bear
Oregon Department of Forestry: Tender/2 engine display
Rural Metro Fire:  Vehicle Extrication Demonstration (X 2), Type 1 engine/water tender/type 6 display (number of units staffing dependent), side by side (staffing dependent)
Southern Oregon Emergency Aid : Information booth (place next to JoCo Emergency Mgt.)
