SOU Theatre presents: The Merry Wives of Windsor written by William Shakespeare and directed by Domenique Lozano. Performances run February 20, 2025- March 2, 2025 on the SOU Main Stage Theatre. Tickets are available online at https://sou.universitytickets.com or by calling the OCA Box Office at 541-552-6348. Accommodations for wheelchair seating and assisted listening devices are available by request via email: boxoffice@sou.edu Doors open at 7:30pm for the 8:00pm show and 1:30pm for the 2:00pm shows. Parking is free in Lot #36 across from the SOU Theatre Building. The OCA Box Office opens 1 hour prior to the performance, regular hours M-F Noon-6pm. The Merry Wives of Windsor features the hero Sir John Falstaff who decides to fix his financial woes by seducing the wives of two wealthy merchants. The wives find he sent them identical letters and take revenge by playing tricks on Falstaff when he comes calling. Falstaff is boisterous, lively, cowardly, funny, and mischievous. Join us for this take on one of Shakespeare's most beloved plays.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR: Ms. Lozano is a West Coast based Director, Actress and Educator. She was a Resident Artist withthe American Conservatory Theatre for 15 years, where she served as a core faculty member anddirector in the MFA Program, as well as the Young Conservatory Program, and as the residentdirector of the main stage production of A Christmas Carol. Directing work at ACT includes MFAProductions of Fuente Ovejuna, The Good Woman of Setzuan, Sueno, The Skin of Our Teeth,Happy to Stand, and Saved, as well as the world premieres of Staying Wild and Home Front. Ms.Lozano served on the Theatre, Dance and Performance Studies faculty at UC Berkeley as both ateacher of acting and as a director. Directing credits there include Tartuffe, Curly Fries- a webisodeseries, and Men on Boats. She is currently an Adjunct Faculty member at SOU, teaching Acting.Other directing work includes The Comedy of Errors, The Importance of Being Earnest (SPARCTheatre, Livermore Shakespeare), The Caucasian Chalk Circle, (St. Mary?s College), A One ManShow, Orlando, Drawer Boy and Welcome Home Jenny Sutter (TheatreFirst). Acting credits includework with California Shakespeare Theater where she was an Associate Artist, A.C.T., BerkeleyRepertory Theatre, CenterRep, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Translation work includesSchiller?s Don Carlos, which premiered in the 2018 New Strands Festival at ACT, and Brecht?s TheCaucasian Chalk Circle, which premiered at the American Conservatory Theater in 2010.
