"What is the Purpose of Government?" - OPB Forum
This Wednesday, May 9, Oregon Public Broadcasting's daily radio program, Think Out Loud, is hosting a special show in Grants Pass to discuss the tension between state, local, and federal control of government when it comes to issues like marijuana legalization, logging rights, policing and public education.
We invite you to be a part of our audience, as we gather a number of officials and citizens of Josephine County to answer the question: What is the purpose of government?
Panelists include:
- Rep. Carl Wilson, Republican state representative from Josephine County
- Kate Lasky, director, Josephine County Library District
- Darin Fowler, mayor, Grants Pass
- Kirk Kolb, superintendent, Grants Pass School District
