Wage for a seasonal employees is $14.70 an hour and for a qualified driver (age 18) $15.95 per hour.
Positions are available in various departments and a brief description of the work for each division is provided below:
Parks:
General grounds maintenance, including mowing and edging lawns, operating a string trimmer and using blowers to clean sidewalks and shelters, assisting with irrigation maintenance, such as digging up sprinklers and irrigation valves, emptying trash cans and picking up loose litter, and preparing shelters and park areas for weekend events.
Water Distribution:
Replacement of residential water meters through out the community; light brush clearing, compile filed report data; shop cleaning; updating records; washing vehicles; cleaning and organizing division buildings; collecting field data related to private backflow prevention assemblies; removing vegetation surroundings water meter boxes and other duties as assigned.
Water Filtration Plant:
Seasonal workers will work both independently and with city staff to maintain facilities and landscaping at the Water Filtration Plant, remote water pumping stations, and reservoirs. Typical duties include brush clearing, weed eating, mowing, basic irrigation monitoring and repair, painting, cleaning, and other general labor.
Finance: We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented person. This person will assist in office tasks to include but not limited to filing, organizing, assembling budget books, data entry, and cash handling. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, take direction from staff, be self-motivated, and be comfortable performing work using a variety of computer programs.
Streets: Cutting and removing vegetation in City maintained right of way areas, removing blackberries and other vegetation from ditches, cutting grass and other vegetation in city alleyways, repainting yellow setbacks at street intersections and painting crosswalks, crack sealing of city streets, and digging out catch basins.
Note: Age restriction of 18 applies to flaggers and driving City Vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications:
Positions involving operation of a motor vehicle require you to be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Oregon rules and City policy.
