Hearts With a Mission

About Us

Hearts with a Mission is a non-profit designed to love and support homeless youth and their families during times of transition or crisis. Our Grants Pass Location is home to our Transitional Living Program and Josephine Counties Safe Families for Children's program. The Hearts With a Mission Transitional Living Program provides temporary housing free of charge to struggling young adults ages 18-22 while they work with us to develop the life skills that they need to live independently. Our transitional living program can house up to 8 residents while they develop the skills to successfully live a lone. We have skills that can support youth in education/ employment advancements, physical/ mental health support, building life skills, and planning for the future.

Our Safe Families for Children program helps to provide support to families in crisis with an emphasis on keeping the family together. Our goal is to provide families with the support that they need to be successful. This can look like providing mentors, a friend, or even hosting for kids while a family is in crisis. We support each family with volunteers that we call a circle of support that can help connect families to services and provide support as a loving unpaid relationship.

We are also home to a Youth Shelter that can provide emergency placement for adolescents ages 10-17 for up to 72 hours without parental consent, or 120 days with guardian's consent. This shelter is at a separate location that can be reached at 541-646-7385.
