About Us

Established in 2011, in September of that year, Mid Rogue Foundation was awarded a three-year grant of more than $770,000 through the USDA’s Rural Health Information Technology Network Development (RHITND) Program. These monies were given to the Foundation to help improve health care and support the adoption of Health Information Technology (HIT) in rural health networks. After their past success of using Federal funds to help promote and effect the conversion to Electronic Health Records by medical providers in Josephine County, and  using the Social Determinants of Health (Housing, Education, Transportation and Environment) to guide program creation, they’ve researched and identified gaps in the county.

This has led them to establish a partnership with Josephine County and the State of Oregon in re-establishing a housing repair/rehabilitation program that is funded primarily by a Community Development Block Grant.   MRF has also facilitated and collaborated with local volunteers in development of the Grants Pass areas' first transitional housing  project known as Foundry Village. Mid Rogue Foundation is currently focused on facilitating change in local housing availability through specific projects and community initiatives.

Mission Statement
