About Us

GreatStart Academy offers high school business and finance courses with virtual mentoring to prepare teens for success after high school graduation.

The GreatStart Business Journey helps high school students prepare for a prosperous future by gaining valuable business skills, being inspired by other young entrepreneurs, and learning that making money and investing money can be fun and profitable!

The Business Journey program begins with Introduction to Business. This semester-length course introduces students to the world of business. Lessons cover sales & marketing, operations, customer service, and finance & administration activities, how to spot business opportunities, money math, how to launch an easy, local service business, key personal finance concepts, copywriting and much more.

Students learn how joining their local chamber of commerce after high school can set their business apart from local competitors with decades of experience.

Follow-up courses will include Business Skills & Opportunities, Public Speaking, Business Writing, Personal Finance and Plan & Launch a Business.

Self-paced courses can be started at anytime including summer breaks. Courses compliment all homeschool, private and charter school curriculums.
