Office Assistant

Join the Public Works Team as an Office Assistant!

This position will support our Public Works Supervisors in the Water Distribution, Streets & Drainage and Wastewater Collections Division.  

A variety of office support tasks will be performed and will include: 

  • Customer service hub
  • Answering phones and technical questions from customers
  • Preparing typed correspondence, reports and public notices
  • Accounts payable coding and data entry
  • Proofing documents and submittals
  • Maintaining and updating various excel databases and records

This is a full-time, 40 hour week in office position.  The work schedule is proposed to be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED, and two years of general office experience including customer service experience are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Products to include:  Word, Excel, TEAMS and Outlook.

Licensing Requirements:
  • Oregon Driver’s License – Class C 
  • Certification of 40 words per minute at 95% accuracy keyboarding skills.
