The Daily Courier and the Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor two candidate forums.
The First Forum will feature on Wednesday, October 5th candidates for the Josephine County Board of Commissioners, as well as presentations, pro and con, about the proposed four-year property tax to fund public safety services.
In the race for Josephine County commissioner, Grants Pass Council President Dan DeYoung is challenging incumbent Keith Heck, who is seeking a second term.
In the other race for commissioner, former Grants Pass City Councilor Lily Morgan is facing retired businessman Bill Hunker for the seat being vacated by Cherryl Walker who is not seeking a second term.
