GIS Supervisor
Join the City of Grants Pass as a GIS Supervisor to lead and manage our City-wide Geographic Information System (GIS) program within the Public Works Department. This position plays a critical role in the planning, implementation, and administration of key GIS initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervision of GIS Technicians
- Administering the city-wide GIS program, to include structure and design
- Managing budgets, making recommendations, approving expenditures, and preparing reports
- Coordinating work projects and soliciting bids from vendors
This position works in the office, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 4 years of related experience are required; including one year of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Licensing Requirements:
- GISCI GIS Professional Certification (GISP) is preferred
- Valid driver’s license, Oregon Class C with an acceptable driving record
