Property Specialist (Evidence)

Join the Police Department Team as a full-time Property Specialist.  Do you have an eye for detail?  Then this may be the position you are looking for.

Duties for this position include: 

• Daily intake of evidence
• Verification, packaging and preparing of evidence for transport
• Release or destruction of property following evidence retention procedures
• Customer service

Minimum Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience or one year of experience and one year of related coursework in criminal justice or a related field are required or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the position as listed in the job description.

Licensing requirements:

• A valid Oregon Driver's License - Class C with a driving record that meets City policy
• Law Enforcement Data System Certificate within 60 days of appointment

Incumbents must be prepared to handle hazardous items to include firearms, biological matter, and controlled substances.
