Crime Analyst (part-time, 20-hours per week)

Join the Police Department as a part-time (20 hours per week) Crime Analyst.  This position will provide analytical support related to crime and crime intelligence in support of the Detectives Division of the Police Department.  

Incumbents will:  

  • Research, collect, analyze, and disseminate statistical information and reports
  • Compile and analyze crime information from various sources
  • Utilize a variety of computer systems to locate, extract and manipulate data
  • Prepare narrative statistical, schematic and graphic reports for analysis
  • Identify and report potential police officer and public safety hazards
This is a regular part-time position (20 hours per week) and includes pro-rated vacation and sick leave accruals and Oregon PERS retirement, upon meeting eligibility.  This position does not include health insurance benefits.


This position will be working in-office.

Minimum Qualifications:
An Associate degree (Bachelor preferred) in a related field with emphasis in criminal justice, crime analysis, and 3 years of related experience are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description.

Licensing Requirements:
  • Law Enforcement Data System Certificate within 60 days of appointment
